Mariah Murrell is a dynamic, and engaging DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) researcher, curriculum developer and trainer. For nearly a decade, Mariah has been working to help businesses and institutions address challenges surrounding DEI. She began her professional journey as a K-12 educator and immediately noticed firsthand the inequities associated with various aspects of our nation’s educational systems. This led her to seek ways to challenge structures that marginalize members of underrepresented groups.
In 2012, Mariah began consulting with organizations to provide thought leadership surrounding ways to improve the workplace climate through the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She employs a multi-faceted approach to this work through research, customized training development, and training facilitation. She has collaborated with dozens of organizations to help drive strategic initiatives related to EDI and has a passion for helping businesses discover ways to become more culturally competent, globally aware, social justice-oriented, and inclusive of all stakeholders.
Mariah holds a Doctor of Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and over a decade of experience as a DEI professional.
